Artist's Comments

This is just a walk from where I am staying down in Cornwall. It is on the Mineral Tramway between Portreath on the North coast and Devoran on the South. I intend to visit one evening or early morning but the weather has just turned to rain and misery!!

Yes, It's HDR. I'm a little reluctant to admit that due to some people using it as an excuse to uprate crap photographs......

nothing wrong with HDR if its used sparingly my friend :) The people who fave strong and overcooked HDR have no idea about photography in general and just are interested in the pretty strong saturated colours :) re. the average joe public.

Obviously thats great to them and their support is invaluable, (especially when selling prints), but to the photographers, impressing the professionals with nothing but camera skill and minimal post processing is the the main aim, at least for me anyway :)

oh sorry forgot to say great shot btw :D Are the darker bricks at the top due to the filters? I hate it when that happens!!

as said before you really did pick a week to come down!!!
yeah id agree with neutron the darker rocks look a little unnatural, but its a nice composition and full of good texture..
No, no filters were used, I think the walls are actually like that.????

It was raining, I think the effect must be the dampness.
